Candidates who have worked in transactions involving the sale of real estate portfolios (e.g., REIT M&A) or industries that tend to own or lease significant amounts of real property (e.g., oil and gas or renewable energy transactions) are particularly well aligned with the role. This associate will support and help lead underwriting workstreams in transactions representing underwriters placing RWI and other transactional risk products. They will also review and advise on transaction documents, including purchase agreements, membership interest purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and related ancillary documents, for the purposes of assessing insurance risks. This associate will also translate corporate and real estate legal diligence into findings focused on actual dollar risks from an insurance underwriting perspective.
