Taft, a growing law firm located in eight primary markets in the Midwest and Washington, DC, is looking for a branding and design intern to join its Indianapolis office for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters. Taft Indianapolis is located in the heart of downtown at the beginning of the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District.

 

Taft is a modern law firm and the marketing and business development (MBD) team is on the front lines of the firm’s innovation. As a valued member of the team, you will get a hands-on learning experience, collaborating to enhance and maintain Taft’s brand presence.

 

As our branding and design intern, you will report to our director of branding and digital marketing and our digital marketing manager.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Upholding and advancing Taft brand standards in visual communication projects.
  • Playing a strong role in designing advertisements (print and digital) and event invitations, working with MBD team members across the Taft markets.
  • Retouching and cropping attorney photos and uploading them to the website backend.
  • Assisting in the creation of seminar materials, PowerPoint presentations, on-site signage, and other marketing pieces.
  • Broken link correction and content management as needed for the firm’s website.

 

What We Expect From You:

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop), Microsoft Office, photo editing, and visual communication principles. Proficient knowledge of website content management systems.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively interact with attorneys and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving ability and eagerness to pursue new challenges independently or collaborate with a team.
  • Willingness to jump in on tasks where needed, such as event support and promo item management.
  • Knowledge of AP Style, HTML, online survey tools (Survey Monkey or similar), and outbound e-communication tools a plus.

 

Hours:

  • 15-20 hours per week. We are happy to meet requirements for college credit, if requested.
  • Paid position, $22.50 - $25 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Start date: Aug. 26, 2024 or earlier.
